Despite these hardships, John remained determined to provide a better life for his family. Our team identified a suitable home for them, and within just 38 days of enrolling in the program, John and his family moved into their new home.
With a stable place to live, John found a full-time work-from-home position with a social services agency. This job marked the beginning of a new chapter for his family. They lived comfortably in their home throughout their first year of enrollment, and when their lease ended, they moved into a larger home that better suited their needs.
John’s hard work paid off when he secured a new position, which came with a significant pay increase. Over the 24 months of receiving Shallow Subsidy services, John consistently paid 50% of the rent without any issues. His combined income from benefits and his new job now exceeds $80,000 per year.
Today, John and his family are stably housed in a spacious home, ensuring they have room to grow and thrive. Their increased household income not only provides financial stability but also peace of mind, knowing they can maintain their home long-term.
