CoC MEMBERSHIP

The FL-510 Continuum of Care (CoC), is a powerful collaborative that spans across Clay, Duval, and Nassau counties in Northeast Florida, working actively to end homelessness.

As the lead agency for the CoC, Changing Homelessness, Inc., provides a holistic approach to advocacy, leadership, and training — serving as a resource and support for the CoC governing board to bring collaboration and cooperation that best serves the needs of our community.

When you become a member of the CoC, you boldly demonstrate genuine care and concern for our neighbors, and a willingness to work together to make a measurable and significant impact.

1. 1. • CoC Members LEARN AND SHARE best practices through networking and connecting with other homelessness stakeholders, providers, and community advocates.
        
   2. • CoC Members CONTRIBUTE to local task force groups and committees, participate in strategic planning, and receive invites to monthly meetings, events, and access to education, training, and competitive funding opportunities. Members also get the latest information on local, state, and federal advocacy issues.
   3. • CoC Members VOTE on policies and procedures that establish performance standards and help shape public policy.
   4. • CoC Members GAIN ACCESS to the Homeless Management Information System (HMIS) for monitoring system effectiveness.
   5. • CoC Members LEAD the Point-in-Time Count, an annual January survey of sheltered and unsheltered persons experiencing homelessness on behalf of the United States Department of Housing and Urban Development.
   6. • CoC Members GIVE VOICE to the homeless community, by fostering support, training, guidance, integration, and collaboration for over 40 member agencies that provide innovative and meaningful services to individuals experiencing homelessness.
